Basic
Information for Parents and Guardians
Ages: Avenue A Teen Center primarily
serves Teens in grades 8-12 from the ConVal School District,
particularly those
from the Great Brook School
towns.
Avenue A is not associated with any school
system, and as such does not observe all school policies.
Holidays: Please check our schedule. Join our email list to be notified of events and unscheduled open days.
Teens 13 and up
are welcome to bring a guest of age 12. Guests should arrive and leave
with their hosts, who are responsible for the behavior of their
guests.
The
Teen Center Provides:

place to hang out and to meet people

games,
entertainment, and activities

a
means to connect with the community
·
a
resource center for Teens
Activities
Include:
Conversation Pit, Pool Table, Foosball, Stereo & Video, Table
Tennis, Air
Hocky, Juice and Snack Bar, Book Swap, Modern and Classic Board Games,
Computer
Workstations, Table Games and Music Instructional Workshops, more.
Guests
and Visitors: Teens may
bring a guest of appropriate age on a one-to-one
basis.
Drop In
Format: Teens are asked to
sign in, but are welcome to
come
and go as they wish during most of our regular hours. Avenue A does not
assume custody or responsibility for the whereabouts of any
visitors. Parents or
guardians should make
arrangements
with their teens as to when is appropriate to visit or leave the
center. Re-entry may not be allowed during special functions -
this will be clearly posted at the door during those events.
